Dr Ana McMillin FRSA BPTW and UDG

Ana has over 20 years’ experience in urban design, housing design and regeneration, leading large teams on masterplan frameworks, estate regeneration, new communities and design-led planning policy. Her work combines practice with research, with a strong focus on design quality, post-industrial regeneration and the urban design process.

She is an elected member of the National Urban Design Group Committee, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, and a regular speaker at industry events. Her written work is published in both industry and academic media.

Steve Pearce Vision for Lewes

Steve is a planner and regeneration professional who has led government-funded regeneration programmes in London (King’s Cross, Stratford and Aylesbury Estate) and Southampton (Thornhill); the redevelopment of Whitehill & Bordon barracks in Hampshire; several town centre renewal schemes; and masterplans for other ex-MOD / Homes England sites in Rutland (St George’s Barracks), Surrey (Deepcut Barracks) and Hertfordshire (Panshanger).    Since moving to Lewes, Steve has worked with colleagues on developing a masterplan and movement strategy for the historic town.

Biljana Savic Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government

Biljana is an urbanist and architect with extensive experience as a designer, advisor and design client. She has held senior roles at HS2, the Prince’s built environment charities, CABE and Space Syntax Limited. In January 2025, she joined the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government as Head of Placemaking, leading all design and placemaking aspects of the New Towns programme. She is a former non-executive director of the Academy of Urbanism and a trustee of the Design Council and champions the role of placemaking in improving quality of life for all.

Naike Zambotti (Chair) UDG and BPTW

Naike has over 12 years of experience in masterplanning, social housing, and urban regeneration across both the public and private sectors. She is an Associate Urban Designer at BPTW. Having lived in the UK and abroad, she brings an international perspective to the built environment, balancing strategic policy with community-centred design.

Naike specialises in design codes and vision-making that prioritise place-based identity and long-term social value. She also mentors young people interested in urban design and is a member of the Urban Design Group Executive Committee. In addition, she serves on the Epping Forest, Harlow & Gilston, and Lewisham Design Review Panels.
